Long Overdue

(Adult contemporary romance; dual-POV; currently revising)

Financially-challenged, mild-mannered school librarian Abby Lalumandier feels like a shabbily-bound book left behind at a garage sale, but after her job is cut on the same day she’s rescued from a fire by her celebrity crush—a millionaire who’s as famous for his attractiveness as for his (supposedly former) playboy waysher fortunes turn. He pitches a fake dating scheme: he’ll rebuild her library that burned to the ground and fund her job if she’ll help him improve his image in the press to secure funding for his new couples’ resort in New Orleans.

Luna, assigned the Moon tarot card at her birth by the matriarch of her witching family, is used to mischief happening inside their old New Orleans mansion, but the one mystery she never thought she’d have an answer to is that of the Locked Door, unremarkable in every way except its resolute unwillingness to be opened—until one night the thrilling notes of a violin launch her into another world and back to find her soulmate and her calling.
